Adding your Ernie AI chatbot to a Framer website is straightforward and requires no coding experience. Follow the steps below to get your chatbot live on your site in minutes.
Before you start
Have your embed code ready.
Plan requirement: You must have a paid Framer Site Plan (Free plans do not support Custom Code or Publish with Code Injection).
Recommended: start with your homepage.
Option A: Site-wide (all pages)
Log into Framer → open your project.
Click the gear icon → Site Settings → General tab.
Scroll to Custom Code.
Paste your embed snippet under End of head tag.
Click Save → Publish.
Check chatbot on homepage + another page.
Option B: One page only
Open Pages panel → select homepage.
Click the gear icon → Custom Code.
Paste embed under End of head tag.
Save → Publish → test live page.
Troubleshooting
Chatbot missing → verify paid plan, publish, clear cache.
Only homepage → ensure you used project-level Custom Code.
